Call To Action: Save America's Treasures
and Preserve America Funding to be Cut

Obama Proposing to End Funding for Preserve America & Save America's Treasures Program

Hudson, Ohio is proud to have earned the Preserve America designation, a designation hard won by a committee of Hudson volunteers. President Barack Obama, in early February, released a budget that would have eliminate not only the Preserve America Program, but the Save America’s Treasures Program AND slash funding for National Heritage areas by 50%.

According to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, these programs have a long history of creating jobs and economic development, which we need now more than ever, in addition to the importance of Preservation itself. The National Trust for Historic Preservation has launched an aggressive campaign to save this funding.
